What does Yugen mean?
Yugen is a Japanese cultural term that has it’s origins in ancient Chinese texts. The original meaning is “deep”, “dark” or “mysterious”. In the context of Japanese aesthetics it speaks to the hidden or ineffable in life, the subtle mystery that underlies our world.
